This past Friday evening, Danielle and Alex performed at the skating rink at Rockefeller Center at the invitation of Moira North, founder of the Ice Theatre of New York, who saw them perform earlier this year. They performed along with 5-time British Ice Dance Champions, Sinead and John Kerr, and a few other skaters who perform with the Ice Theatre.
This was a great opportunity for Danielle and Alex. The Ice Theatre seems interested in having Danielle and Alex skate at some of their other performances. Great exposure.
After their performance Danielle and Alex were interview by Lynn Rutherford, a journalist who writes for IceNetwork and Skating Magazine. The interview will be published in an upcoming edition of Skating Magazine highlighting some of the Gold Medalists from the 2009 U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships.
Now we can all take a couple of weeks off and rest our weary bones. Speaking of bones; this will be the time Danielle needs to heal her fractured pelvis completely.
